Baby sleep tracker: naps, nights and the patterns in between
Nap and night timers that carry across midnight, the settling details that matter, and a clear picture of the last seven nights.
Cocoon tracks naps and night sleep with timers that run across midnight, and records where your baby slept, false starts, how long settling took and time held before the cot. Insights show day versus night sleep, the last seven nights, wakings, the longest stretch and bedtime drift, and a sleep report PDF covers 7, 14 or 30 days.

What it does
Start a nap or night sleep in one tap (Cocoon picks nap or night from the time of day), pause it, and end it when your baby wakes — even if that's tomorrow. Note where they slept (cot, pram, contact nap), whether it was a false start, how long settling took and how long they were held first.
While a nap runs, a gentle “nap pocket” line estimates how much quiet time you probably have left, from your baby's usual nap length — a pocket for you, not a countdown.
Sleep in depth shows day versus night sleep, the last seven nights drawn as blocks, a 24-hour clock view, night wakings, the longest stretch, time to settle and bedtime or wake-up drift — by week, month or year.
A sleep plan picks one focus — early waking, a nap transition, settling, night wakings or simply keeping things on track — with a suggested schedule and steps from the guides. A bedtime routine checklist appears in the evening, and a sleep report PDF is ready to share.
How it works
- Tap Sleep on Home to start a nap or night sleep; tap again to end it.
- Add where, settle time or a false start if you want to.
- Open Insights → Sleep in depth for nights, wakings and stretches.
- Choose Sleep report there to export 7, 14 or 30 days.
The details
- Timers carry across midnight and survive the app closing
- Two parents can't double-log the same nap — the second is caught
- Bedtime routine checklist (up to 12 steps) that resets daily
- Sleep report PDF: 7, 14 or 30 days
- Live Activity and widget show a running nap
Common questions
Can Cocoon track night sleep that crosses midnight?
Yes. Nap and night timers run across midnight and are stored as timestamps, so a night sleep started at 7pm and ended at 6am counts correctly.
What sleep insights does Cocoon show?
Day versus night sleep, the last seven nights, a 24-hour clock view, night wakings, the longest stretch, time to settle, time held before the cot and bedtime drift — over a week, month or year.
Can I share my baby's sleep with the doctor?
Yes. The sleep report exports a PDF for the last 7, 14 or 30 days, and the checkup report includes sleep patterns too.
