How Cocoon writes and checks its content

Our aim is to help families keep useful records, understand the limits of those records and find the original guidance behind a baby-care summary.

Who is responsible for the content?

Cocoon publishes the website and makes the Cocoon baby tracker. Content is attributed to The Cocoon Editorial Team unless a page names another contributor. This is an organisational byline, not a claim that a clinician wrote or approved the article. Our current care guides have not been independently clinically reviewed.

Health summaries and practical examples have different scopes

The baby-care guides summarise linked public guidance. Source dates and regions are shown because recommendations can differ between countries. A US or UK language edition does not turn an Australian source into local clinical guidance; check the source and your care team’s advice.

The practical guides explain record keeping and choosing or using a tracker. Worked examples are fictional and labelled. They are not measurements from Cocoon families, research findings or recommended feeding and sleep targets.

How sources and review dates work

Health claims should link to the original public-health agency, hospital or professional organisation wherever possible. A source check means an editorial check of the cited information. It does not mean an independent clinical review, endorsement by the source, or validation of Cocoon’s personalised estimates.

An article’s updated date records a substantive content change. Source-check dates are separate. A new deployment, changed copyright year or new article elsewhere is not a reason to refresh an unchanged article’s date.

AI assistance and accountable publishing

AI tools assist with drafting, editing and technical checks, including the practical articles and search-copy updates dated 11 October 2026. AI assistance is not a clinical qualification or a substitute for checking a source. We do not describe generated examples as real family experiences or invent expert credentials, testimonials or study results.

Our commercial relationship

Cocoon benefits when a reader chooses our app. Product links are included when they are relevant to the task, and comparison pages are written by a product being compared. Check competitors’ current pricing and capabilities with their own websites. Our free worksheets and guide text can be read without an email address or app account.

Product descriptions should reflect what the app supports and explain availability or data limits. Read how forecasts work for the method and its limitations.

Corrections and questions

If you find an error, email support@getcocoonapp.com with the page address, the sentence in question and, if available, a link to the source you think we should check. Please leave private family records out of a website correction request.

For a decision about your child’s health, use your clinician’s advice and the original local guidance. Website feedback is not a clinical support channel.
