Made for the blur,
built to be kept
Cocoon began with a simple frustration: the first year is a beautiful, exhausting blur, and the apps meant to help either felt clinical, paywalled the insights that mattered, or treated your memories as an afterthought.
We wanted one calm place that could do both jobs at once: capture the 2am feed in a tap and hold onto the photo from that morning — without a subscription, without ads, and without holding your data hostage. So we built it, and we keep building it with the families in our beta. See what's new.
What we believe
Useful things shouldn't be paywalled
Nap forecasts, the sleep program, trends, reports and extra caregivers are all free in Cocoon today. The essentials of caring for a baby aren't a premium tier.
Your family's data is yours
Offline-first, row-level security, encrypted, never sold. Privacy isn't a setting — it's the foundation.
The data and the memory belong together
A tracker that forgets the joy misses the point. Cocoon keeps the keepsake right next to the log.
No lock-in, ever
A full export of your data and media means you can leave any time and take everything with you.
What we won't do
- Show ads, or sell or share your family's data for advertising.
- Let AI choose your baby's nap time — our forecasts are plain maths, and we publish how they work.
- Claim a clinical review we haven't had. Our guides say “Clinical review pending” until a named clinician has reviewed them.
- Diagnose. Cocoon gives you clear records and context, and points you to your doctor or child-health nurse.
- Charge you later for something you already use for free.
Cocoon at a glance
- What it is
- A calm baby tracker and journal for feeds, sleep, nappies, growth, health and memories, shared by the whole family.
- Price
- Every feature is free right now — no ads, no subscription. Logging, history and family sharing will always be free.
- Account
- Not needed to start. A free account adds backup, sync across devices, caregivers, a second child and the optional AI features.
- Works offline
- Yes. Everything saves on the device first and syncs when you're back online.
- Devices
- iPhone, Android, and the web app at app.getcocoonapp.com.
- Sharing
- Invite a partner, grandparent or nanny with a link; choose admin, caregiver or view-only access.
- Predictions
- Timing estimates from sufficient recorded history, with the calculation and data limits published.
- Guides
- 225 evidence-based guides, written in Australian, British or American English for each reader.
- Your data
- Export everything, including photos and videos, in one file. Import from Huckleberry, Baby Tracker, Glow, Nara Baby and more.
- AI
- Optional and off until you agree. Powered by Claude from Anthropic. It never chooses a nap time or gives medical advice.
- Privacy
- No ads, never sold. Row-level security, encrypted in transit and at rest.
- Regions
- Made in Australia for families in Australia, the UK, the US and beyond — units, words and helplines follow your region.
An honest note
Cocoon is for observation and context — it offers general information, not medical advice, and it is not a medical device. The optional assistant explains your own logged data in plain language; it never diagnoses, and it always points you back to your GP or child-health nurse. Every feature is free right now — no ads, no subscription. If we ever add paid extras, we'll say so clearly first — and we won't charge for anything you already use for free.
