Cocoon reads the file, shows you what it found, and only imports once you confirm.
- On a computer, open app.getcocoonapp.com/import and sign in with the same account (or open Settings → Data & privacy → Import data on your phone).
- Drag your export file in, choose it, or paste from the clipboard. Cocoon detects which app it came from.
- Check the preview: what was found, which day each entry will be filed on, and whether dates were written day-first or month-first.
- Confirm. Duplicates are skipped, anything that couldn't be read is listed, and you can undo the whole import straight afterwards.
- Everything syncs to your phone and to the caregivers you share with.

Which apps can I import into Cocoon?
Huckleberry, Baby Tracker, Baby Connect, Baby Daybook, Nara Baby, Cubtale, Glow Baby, Day One, Journey, Apple Journal — plus your camera roll, any CSV file and a Cocoon backup.
Is it safe to import the same file twice?
Yes. Duplicates are skipped, anything that couldn't be read is listed, and you can undo an import straight afterwards.
What if my old app wrote dates day-first?
Cocoon checks. The preview shows which day each entry will be filed on, reading dates the way the family who exported them wrote them, and lets you switch between day-first and month-first.
Does importing need an account?
Importing on a computer uses the web app, so sign in with the same free account you use on your phone. Everything you import then syncs to your phone automatically.
