Pumping log and breast milk stash tracker
Log a pump in seconds, send the milk straight to the fridge or freezer, and always know what's in your stash — and what to use first.
Cocoon logs pumping with a dual-side timer and millilitres per side, then files the milk where it went — fed now, fridge, freezer, deep freezer or elsewhere. Stored milk joins your stash automatically, listed oldest first with expiry dates (fridge 4 days, freezer about 6 months, deep freezer about 12 months, thawed 24 hours) and reminders before a batch expires.
What it does
Start a pumping timer for one side or both, then enter what you got from each side. Choose where the milk went — fed straight away, the fridge, the freezer, a deep freezer or somewhere else — and anything stored becomes a batch in your stash.
The stash lists every batch oldest first, with the date it should be used by. Move a batch from the freezer to the fridge to thaw it and its use-by date shortens to 24 hours; discard a batch or undo a move in a tap.
Set a stash goal and Cocoon shows how many days of feeds your stash covers, and whether you're ahead of it or short — useful when you're planning a return to work.
How it works
- Tap Pump (it's on Home if you pump, or on the + sheet).
- Time the session, then enter millilitres from each side.
- Choose where it went: fed now, fridge, freezer, deep freezer or other.
- Open Milk stash (on the + sheet) to see batches oldest first, move them, or mark them used.
The details
- Storage times used: fridge about 4 days, freezer about 6 months, deep freezer about 12 months, thawed milk 24 hours
- Reminders before a batch expires
- Days of feeds covered, against a goal you set
- Pumping output on the Insights charts over 7, 14 or 30 days
- A gentle guide suggestion if your output dips against your own recent baseline
Common questions
How long does breast milk last in Cocoon's stash?
Cocoon uses about 4 days in the fridge, about 6 months in the freezer, about 12 months in a deep freezer and 24 hours for milk thawed in the fridge — and reminds you before a batch expires.
Can I track pumping from each side?
Yes. The pumping timer covers one or both sides, and you enter millilitres from each side, so output per side shows up in your history and charts.
Does Cocoon help me build a stash for going back to work?
Yes. Set a stash goal and Cocoon shows how many days of feeds your stored milk covers and whether you're ahead or short, alongside guides on building a stash and returning to work.
